- Note Item P/N 62 (anode) used on 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985 and 1986 are know as late model 800 series outdrive this
is the easy way to tell what stern-drive you have on your boat.
- Years 1978, 1980 and 1981 have no anode in lower unit
gearcase.
- 1978 to 1981 have servo shifter in lower gearcase are not compatible with 1982 to 1986 later model outdrives.
- 1979
to 1981 shift cable ends are marked with 1 ring and 1978 have no ring.
- Shift cables from 1982 to 1986 all have 2 rings
on them.
