Loctite 680 is used when installing new oil seal in a used bearing carriers or bearing housings that may be warren or oversize
up to .030. Application would then require that both oil seal and parts and be coated with 680 compound and left for 24 hrs.
- This
saves most bearing carries and bearing retainers from having to be replaced. 680 will hold installed oil seal at high heat
levels and up to 15 psi pressure for testing out-drive.
- In most cases this compound is cured in 60 minutes and then
can be pressure tested. Cobra, SX, 400-800 Stringer upper-lower gear-case and intermediate housing drive shaft seals.
